Patient-centered massage therapy that supports your health and well-being

Caring for other begins with caring for yourself.

About Shelby

I’m Shelby Heppner, a Registered Massage Therapist based in Prince George, BC. I grew up in Quesnel and after more than 10 years in construction, I made a career change into massage therapy with the goal of supporting health and well-being in my community.

I bring a patient-centered, trauma-informed approach to every session and take the time to listen to each client’s needs.

Outside of the clinic, you can usually find me outdoors with my dog Penny, enjoying hiking, paddleboarding, or exploring new adventures.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Before your first visit, you’ll fill out an intake form which I review in advance. At the start, we’ll go over your form, discuss consent, and you’ll have time to ask questions. An interview and possible assessment will help us create a treatment plan together.

I’ll then leave the room so you can undress (or remain dressed if you prefer) and get comfortably positioned between the sheets on the massage table. When I return (after knocking or announcing myself), we’ll begin treatment. Consent will always be asked before undraping any area.

At the end, I’ll leave the room again for you to get ready. We’ll finish with a short post-treatment discussion, proceed with billing, and I may offer homecare suggestions to support you between visits.

Do I need to get undressed?

Absolutely not. You are always in control of your comfort. Massage can be done over clothing if you prefer, or with draping that keeps you covered at all times.

Do you offer direct billing?

Yes, I direct bill with most major insurance providers, including Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Telus Health, Medavie, Greenshield, and more. Please bring your benefits card to your appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Missed appointments or no-shows will be charged the full cost of the treatment. A valid credit card is required to book appointments.
